| Standing in front of the cathedral in Chartres. And he's still there. |
| You can call me M. Grey, Grand Commander of the Nighthawks. One day, I wouldn't mind giving you my real name. Just not today. Most of the work that is associated with the Nighthawks is done after midnight and consists of still-life and landscape. Portraits do come up when other Nighthawks or special guests join me. My "style" of photography is black-and-white, to be general. Detailed, I try to utilise noise and blurring (usually not on purpose) to try to get that horror film vibe without being macabre. (I don't have the necessary technology to be macabre on a regular basis as of yet.) I like realist photography--natural feel, no poses whenever possible. I try not to use flash. I don't use fancy equipment very often; a tripod is just fine when necessary. I'm in the process of getting photo books made of some of the outings I have with friends during the day. (I guess you could call it a photo shoot; we normally call it a day to hang out.) I'm using the site blurb.com. It's free, and you can use it to publish photos, novels, poetry, drawings, and any other visual and language art. I joined to mainly display my art and learn how to improve my technique and learn some new tricks. I also want to discover new artists worldwide. |

Be what you wanna be, do what you want to do, otherwise you'll never be happy.
Cheers.
